Exaltation Of Death (2008) – Landscape Of Solitude

Snow covers my path

Beneath the brilliant wintry moon

Whilst I walk and inhale

The freezing fragrance of the forest.

Grim and glacial winds

Arise on behest of decease,

Sing the ancient hymn

Of cold and gnawing grief.

For endless hours I listen

To the howling afar,

A nocturnal dirge

To this landscape of solitude.

Its dismal euphony

Grieves me to the very bone,

And I, aghast, remember

Countless nights I walked alone.

The dagger in my hand

Is the instrument of my Death.

My journey ends

Amidst this wintry wilderness.

The snow turns red,

Stained, imbued.

I sacrifice my life

To this landscape of solitude.
