Exaltation Of Death (2008) – Harbingers Of the Coldest Days

Behold! The harbingers of darker days,

Ravens crossing the serene autumnal skies.

A pitch-black throng that stains pure blue

Ere winter dawns and storms arise.

Scenic calmness…

Crimson leaves…

Not a whisper of wind

In the trees.

Autumnal vistas,

Sublime, serene,

Nature slumbers

As if in a dream.

The blue skies darken, winter dawns,

Listen to the coming storm!

So the scenic calmness is undone

But far colder days are still to come.

Behold! The harbingers of colder days,

Ravens crossing the sombre darkened skies,

A pitch-black throng that caws aloud

Ere winter’s freezing tempests rise.

Tempests rise like haunting wraiths

And usher in the hopeless days.

So the scenic beauty is undone

Yet the coldest days are still to come.

Snow-covered forests…

Frostbitten landscapes…

The season of grim twilight.

Midwinter dominates…

Wintry vistas…

Frozen life…

The freezing moon

Rules glacial skies.

Behold! The harbingers of the coldest days,

Ravens crossing the serene midwinter skies.

A pitch-black throng that stains pure blue

Ere you are dead and cold as ice.
