The indifferent sun never shows,

Dwells beyond the grey murk, unseen,

Like a ghost that hides in the shadows

Of a memory recalled in a dream.

 

The world dies but the sun does not care,

Does not shine on the wastelands of nowhere

Which I cross on my way to (the non-existent) hell knows where

Expecting nothing but nothingness there.

The indifferent sun

Shall vanish with me in the darkness to come.

Come, darkness come!

Make me forget the indifferent sun.

 

The indifferent sun never shows.

Too far away, far too feebly, it shines.

Light fails to pervade the ethereal ashes

Which darken this world that declines.

 

I do not search for the sun anymore.

Hope went with my shadow long before.

The dusk of the world has begun

And the ultimate end approaches apace.
