A tremor born in the earth

Shattered a dream of the past

When the day had an orb

And the night had a welkin of stars.

 

On the eve of the end

I watched the orb of day descend.

I only knew about true darkness

When I did not see the sun again.

It is dark and growing darker.

Memories of the sun evanesce.

With the fading of every night

The light of day becomes less… and less….

 

The sun moved unseen

Beyond the dark, pestilent veil.

The day reached its end

Yet its light was but gloomy and frail.

 

The nameless dark…

The nameless dark descends to enshroud

The dying world and me.

The nameless dark…

The nameless dark descends to entomb

The dying world and me.
